The Three Tenors of the Holy Land

The Three Tenors of the Holy Land were founded in 2006 by the international opera star Yevgeni Shapovalov. Since then, the Three Tenors from the Holy Land have given over 200 sold-out performances in Israel, Europe, Canada, USA and Russia.

The program will include some of the signature operatic favourites- such as famous arias from Verdi's Rigolette, Nabucco and La Traviata, Puccini's ever-popular (Nessum Dorma) from the Turandot and Donizetti (une furtive l'agrima) from L'elisir d'amore. A good selection of such Spanish, Italian, French and Neapolitan numbers as Granada and Besame Mucho, Caruso and La Vie en Rose, O'Sole mio, Santa Lucia, Funiculi Funicula and Torna a Surriento.

Also in the repertoire of the Three Tenors several numbers from popular Broadway musicals such as Les Miserables by Claude Michael Schonberg, Bring him home, Man of La Manche by Mitch Leigh (The Impossible Dream), Summertime from "Porgy and Bess" by George Gershwin, Yesterday by The Beatles and Love Me Tender by Elvis Presley.

But complimenting these will be Jewish favourites in Hebrew and Yiddish, among them Naomi Shemer's Jerusalem of Gold and Hallelujah, My yiddisher Mama and Mein Koschen Papiros, Tumbalalaika, Ha Tikva and such popular Russian songs as Ochi Chorniya (Dark Eyes), and Dorogi Dlinnoyu (Those Were the days), Podmoskovnye vechera (Moscow Nights), Katiusha and unforgettable Kalinka.

Other American show times combine with other songs from abroad to complete an unforgettable evening.
