We Are One Jazz Project

Happening in the George Weston Recital Hall
This concert will feature a 200 member children’s choir comprised of students from 6 elementary schools in Toronto's Scarborough district.
The students have completed 4 months of intensive training in jazz music. They are accompanied by a professional jazz orchestra, an adult choir and special guest, the legendary Dr. Barry Harris.
The We Are One Jazz Project strengthens community bonds by harnessing the beauty and power of jazz as a force for social change, through which to inspire young Canadians. Through direct interaction with master musicians, the young students develop courage and learn the benefits of teamwork, building bonds and self-discovery. Our goal is to kindle a lifelong appreciation for the arts, and motivation for creative thinking and excellence in the lives of each participant. WAOJP is a registered Canadian Charitable Organization.
