Harry Allen’s All Star New York Saxophone Band

The All Star New York Saxophone Band features Vincent Herring, Grant Stewart and Harry Allen on tenor saxophones and Gary Smulyan on baritone saxophone.  Rhythm section includes Ehud Asherie-piano, Joel Forbes -bass and Kevin Kanner- drums. 

The three tenor and baritone saxophone section has a mellow yet exciting sound, gaining popularity with Woody Herman’s Four Brothers saxophone section.  The swinging ensemble playing of a big band combined with individual solo styles of a small group make for an especially satisfying musical experience.
